Camba Weissbier
This traditional Weissbier from Camba Bavaria presents a classically harmonious profile defined by its expressive fermentation character. Prominent esters of ripe banana pair elegantly with the delicate phenolic spice of cloves, creating a layered and inviting bouquet. The foundation is built upon a soft, bready wheat malt base that provides a doughy richness without becoming heavy. Its pale gold body is crowned by a dense, moussy white head, while the palate reflects a masterfully balanced yeast-forward character. The finish is remarkably clean and refreshing, balancing the initial sweetness of the malt against a light, spritzy carbonation that enhances the beer’s creamy yet effervescent texture.
Appearance. Pale gold (SRM 4) with a distinct, hazy opacity from suspended yeast and wheat proteins. Features a very thick, moussy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with a classic balance of ripe banana esters and spicy clove phenols. Complementary bready, doughy, and grainy wheat malt notes form a solid base, with no detectable hop aroma or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, grainy wheat and bready malt sweetness. This is immediately followed by a moderate to high intensity of banana and spicy clove flavors. Bitterness is very low, serving only to prevent cloying sweetness. The finish is relatively dry and refreshing with a lingering clove spice aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a creamy, fluffy fullness that coats the palate. Very high carbonation provides a lively, effervescent, and spritzy mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth is present.
