Cerveza Caleya

This West Coast IPA presents a vibrant hop-forward profile, showcasing the tropical and citrus synergy of El Dorado and Mosaic hops. A sensory explosion of fresh grapefruit, succulent mango, and tangy passion fruit dominates the experience, backed by a clean fermentation profile. While the palate is notably dry and crisp in the classic West Coast tradition, a subtle, grainy malt backbone provides just enough structure to balance the assertive, clean bitterness. It is a bright, aromatic example of the American IPA style that finishes lean and refreshing, inviting another sip through its lingering resinous and tropical aftertaste.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (7–9 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, off-white head characterized by excellent persistence and decorative lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit citrus, tropical mango, and passion fruit from the El Dorado and Mosaic additions. A low, clean, bready maltiness supports the hops without competing. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Leading with a medium-high hop flavor of citrus rind and tropical fruit. Low, grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a firm, clean bitterness. The profile is decidedly hop-forward and dry, leading to a crisp finish with a lingering, resinous aftertaste of grapefruit and pine.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation enhances the dry finish. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth with no harshness or astringency.
