Cerveza Caleya

This vibrant Double IPA delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a heavy double dry-hop addition. The aroma is dominated by concentrated waves of ripe pineapple and tropical stone fruit from Lupomax Bru-1, complemented by the bright citrus and lime notes of Citra. A floral, orange-zest character from Lupomax Amarillo rounds out the profile. On the palate, the hop intensity is high but smooth, supported by a lean, neutral malt base that emphasizes drinkability. The finish is crisp and medium-dry, leaving a lingering impression of resinous fruit and a clean, firm bitterness that defines the style.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (6-9 SRM) with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves fine lacing. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy, typical for a modern double dry-hopped beer.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pineapple, grapefruit, and melon. Low, clean, neutral maltiness provides a supportive background. Fermentation profile is clean with very low fruity esters and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of tropical fruit, citrus peel, and light floral resins. Bitterness is high but not harsh, balancing the light, grainy malt sweetness. The beer finishes medium-dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste and a clean, smooth fermentation character.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being solventy or hot. No perceived hop-derived astringency.
