Caleya Sleepy Danger is a velvety Double IPA that masterfully hides its 8% strength behind a lush, silky mouthfeel derived from a generous addition of oats. The aroma is an intense explosion of tropical and stone fruits, driven by a heavy double dry-hop addition of Cryo Idaho-7 and Lupomax Bru-1. Expect vibrant notes of ripe pineapple, apricot, and a hint of resinous pine. On the palate, the fruit-forward hop character remains dominant, balanced by a soft, unobtrusive malt backbone and a firm yet smooth bitterness. It finishes clean with a lingering brightness, making this "softy" DIPA dangerously drinkable.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7-9 SRM). Pours with a thick, creamy, off-white head that shows excellent persistence and creates intricate lacing. Exhibits a slight to moderate haze typical of heavy double dry-hopping.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring pungent notes of fresh pineapple and stone fruit from Lupomax Bru-1, complemented by the resinous pine and apricot characteristics of Cryo Idaho-7. Malt is low, providing a clean, slightly grainy sweetness in the background. Fermentation esters are low and fruit-driven.

Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit, specifically pineapple and mango, followed by a subtle peach and earthy tea-like complexity. The malt flavor is supportive and neutral, allowing the hops to shine. Bitterness is moderately high and firm but lacks harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering tropical and resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a distinctively silky, creamy texture from the oat inclusion. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but smooth, contributing to the profile without being hot or solventy.
