Caleya Naíf is a lush, vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the 'juicy' character of the style through the strategic integration of lactose, mango, and passion fruit. The sensory experience is defined by an intense tropical bouquet where the tartness of passion fruit and the succulent sweetness of mango meld seamlessly with citrusy New World hops. The addition of lactose contributes a velvety, creamy mouthfeel that rounds out the soft body and tempers the restrained bitterness. With its opaque, sun-drenched appearance and a finish emphasizing fruit saturation over hop bite, it offers a sophisticated, dessert-adjacent profile while maintaining essential drinkability.

Appearance. Color is a deep straw to golden-orange (5-6 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze that provides a characteristic 'shine'. It is crowned by a dense, white, meringue-like head with high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity tropical fruit aromas of fresh mango and sharp passion fruit lead the profile. These are supported by high hop-derived citrus and stone fruit notes. A subtle, sweet creaminess from the lactose is present, layered over a neutral, lightly bready malt background. No alcohol or yeast phenols are detected.

Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical juice with high flavors of mango and passion fruit. Medium-low bitterness is present but largely masked by the soft, full body and lactose sweetness. Malt flavors are low and grainy. The fermentation is clean, supporting a finish that is off-dry, smooth, and heavily saturated with lingering fruit character without any hop harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a smooth delivery. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and absolutely no astringency or harshness.
