This Double IPA offers a lush, tropical sensory experience driven by a heavy-handed Double Dry Hop of Cryo Simcoe, Amarillo, and Eclipse hops. The profile is defined by a saturated core of ripe pineapple and succulent mango, creating a dense and intensely fruit-forward impression. The Cryo Simcoe provides a clean resinous backbone, while Amarillo adds bright citrus highlights that layer over a neutral, supportive malt base. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a clean fermentation profile and a smooth, well-integrated bitterness that leads into a crisp, lingering finish characteristic of the style.
Appearance. Hazy gold to light orange-copper with a thick, persistent white head and significant lacing. Slight opaqueness is present from the intensive dry-hopping process.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma featuring dominant notes of crushed pineapple, ripe mango, and zesty citrus. Secondary hints of pine resin and floral orange blossom emerge against a neutral malt background with a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Bold tropical fruit flavors mirroring the aroma, with pineapple and mango at the forefront. A firm but non-harsh hop bitterness balances a soft, unobtrusive grainy malt character. The finish is dry to medium-dry, leaving a lingering hop resin and citrus peel aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, dense texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift, while a well-restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being solventy.
