Caleya Fractal Alfa is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the style’s juicy nature. A heavy dry-hop regimen featuring Citra and Mosaic creates an explosion of tropical mango and zesty lime, while Mandarina Bavaria contributes a distinct sweet tangerine and citrus peel character. The appearance is a luminous, opaque pale gold with a persistent white head. On the palate, the soft, bready malt foundation balances a smooth, restrained bitterness. The finish is plush and fruit-forward, leaving a lingering impression of sun-ripened stone fruit and refreshing citrus, supported by a creamy, medium-full body.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3–6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze providing a characteristic glow. Topped by a medium, white, meringue-like head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring dominant tangerine and orange from Mandarina Bavaria, alongside tropical mango and blueberry notes from Mosaic. Citra provides a sharp lime and grapefruit zest. Background malt is low, offering a clean, doughy, and bready character.
Taste. Very high fruity hop flavor reflecting the aroma's tropical and citrus profile. Low to medium-low grainy malt flavor. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and rounded, never harsh. The finish is off-dry to medium, characterized by a clean fermentation profile and a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristic soft, silky, and smooth texture. Medium carbonation. Minimal alcohol warmth that is very well-integrated at 6.9%. No detectable astringency or harshness.
