This West Coast-style American IPA showcases an assertive hop profile driven by heavy dry-hopping with Galaxy and Mosaic. The experience begins with a punch of tropical passionfruit and ripe peach from the Galaxy hops, layered with the complex blueberry and resinous pine notes characteristic of Mosaic. Its lean, pale malt base stays in the background, providing just enough structure to support the intense, clean bitterness. Brilliantly clear and refreshing, it finishes crisp and dry, leaving a lingering trail of citrus zest and herbal spice on the palate, epitomizing the classic, hop-forward intensity of the style.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a deep golden hue. It supports a thick, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, blueberry, and crushed pine needles. A low, clean, grainy malt sweetness sits beneath the fruit, alongside a very faint citrus-ester profile and a clean fermentation character.
Taste. Leading with high hop flavors of tropical fruit and resin. The bitterness is firm and assertive but clean, balanced by a medium-low bready malt character. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, leading into a very dry, crisp finish with a long-lasting hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is medium-high, adding a lively prickle that enhances the dry finish. A subtle, well-integrated alcoholic warmth is present.
