Caleya Autumn Leaves is a vibrant Raspberry Sour Ale that captures the essence of ripe, red raspberries. The sensory profile is defined by a bright, clean lactic acidity that elevates the fruit character, while a soft wheat beer base provides a subtle, bready backbone. Expect an inviting, refreshing experience where the tartness of the raspberries interlaces with a delicate wild fermentation profile. The wheat influence adds a smooth texture, balancing the sharp, tangy fruit notes. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp, making for an addictive and approachable take on a Wild Specialty Beer that prioritizes fruit purity and drinkability.

Appearance. Deep pink to ruby red hue (6–10 SRM) with a frothy, light pink head that exhibits moderate to poor retention. The beer shows a slight haze from both the fruit additions and the wheat malt proteins.

Aroma. High intensity of fresh, ripe red raspberries dominates the nose. Supporting this is a soft, grainy, and bready malt character from the wheat. A clean, lemony lactic sourness is prominent, with negligible hop aroma and very low earthy wild yeast esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing burst of tart raspberries. The mid-palate reveals a delicate, doughy wheat flavor that softens the acidity. Hop bitterness is extremely low, as the structural balance is provided by lactic sourness. The finish is very dry and clean with a lingering, tangy raspberry aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, prickly carbonation that enhances the refreshing quality. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. A very slight fruit-skin astringency is present, contributing to the overall crispness and perceived dryness.
