This Imperial Stout offers a luxurious sensory experience, marrying the aggressive roast of blackened grains with the rounding sweetness of natural vanilla bean. Deep layers of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and black licorice form a robust foundation, while the infusion of real vanilla pods introduces a creamy, floral aromatic lift that softens the charred edges of the malt. Hints of dried plum and dark raisin emerge as the beer warms, leading into a viscous, velvety finish. The alcohol provides a gentle, integrated warmth that complements the bold, roasted bitterness, resulting in a complex and harmonious dessert-leaning profile.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, persistent deep tan head that exhibits excellent retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is evident by the presence of legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant notes of rich dark chocolate, espresso, and burnt grain are beautifully balanced by a prominent, authentic floral vanilla character. Subtle background esters of raisin and prune mingle with a very low earthy hop aroma and a clean, warming alcohol presence.

Taste. Intensely flavorful with a complex blend of roasted malt, cocoa, and heavy cream notes from the vanilla addition. The initial malt sweetness is countered by a firm, charred bitterness and flavors of black currant.
