This American IPA delivers a quintessential West Coast experience, characterized by a bold, resinous punch and a sharp, refreshing dryness. The aromatic profile is dominated by a complex blend of Amarillo, Ahtanhum, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops, which project layers of grapefruit zest, floral blossoms, and sticky pine resin over a backdrop of tropical berries. A clean, supportive malt foundation allows the assertive bitterness to lead into a crisp finish. At 7% ABV, it carries a sophisticated presence where the intense citrus and earthy undertones of the specific hop varietals define the palate from start to finish.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Features a persistent, frothy off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit and orange citrus, backed by distinct pine resin and earthy spice. Subtle tropical fruit and berry notes emerge, supported by a low, clean, grainy-sweet malt character and a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Assertive hop-forward flavor mirroring the aroma with citrus rind, pine, and tropical fruit. High bitterness is clean and well-supported by a lean, slightly toasty malt base. The finish is decisively dry with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste that remains crisp without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, commensurate with its strength.
