Buxton Brewery Billionaires is a decadent and indulgent Imperial Stout that masterfully captures the essence of a chocolate fudge sundae. The sensory journey is dominated by the opulent influence of Brazilian Cacao and Madagascan Vanilla, providing a layered profile of rich dark chocolate and creamy, aromatic sweetness. These adjuncts are supported by a backbone of roasted malts offering notes of espresso and charred grain, alongside subtle dark fruit esters like plum and raisin. Appearance. Opaque, jet black (SRM 40). A dense, persistent deep tan head provides excellent lacing. High viscosity is evident by the slow-moving legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of bittersweet Brazilian Cacao and aromatic Madagascan Vanilla. Underlying the sweet adjuncts are rich roasted notes of dark chocolate and coffee, complemented by low dark fruit esters of prune and black currant.

Taste. The initial impression is one of liquid fudge and creamy vanilla. A deep malt complexity follows, featuring layers of toast and espresso. Moderate bitterness provides a necessary counterpoint to the sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with a lingering bittersweet cocoa character that avoids being syrupy.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and velvety with a thick, chewy, and luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the creamy mouthfeel. A gentle, smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its strength without any harshness.
