Axed reimagines the bold sensory profile of its higher-alcohol predecessor as a vibrant American IPA with a slender frame. The aromatic profile is dominated by a sharp, zesty grapefruit character and resinous pine, mirroring the intense hopping of a classic flagship IPA. Despite its 0.5% ABV, the beer maintains a hop-forward focus with a clean, grainy malt backbone that provides just enough structure to support the aggressive bitterness. The experience is defined by a bright, citrusy punch and a remarkably dry, crisp finish that belies its low-alcohol nature, offering the assertive bitterness and aromatic complexity expected from a West Coast-inspired brew.

Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity; pours with a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, citrus zest, and a touch of resinous pine. Low, clean, grainy maltiness sits in the background, with no perceptible yeast esters or alcohol warmth.

Taste. Leading with a medium-high hop flavor of grapefruit peel and resinous hops. The malt flavor is low and grainy with a hint of toasted crackers. Bitterness is firm and assertive, leading into a dry, clean finish with a lingering hoppy and citrusy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a crisp, smooth texture. High carbonation provides a prickly sensation on the tongue. There is zero alcohol warmth and no lingering astringency from the hops.
