Crimson Highway is a nostalgic sensory journey to the early days of craft beer, presenting a striking ruby-colored pour. The malt profile is defined by rich biscuit and toffee notes, which provide a sturdy, toasted foundation for the classic American hops to shine. Simcoe and Chinook drive the experience, delivering intense layers of pithy grapefruit and resinous pine. The balance is firmly hop-forward, supported by a robust bitterness that integrates seamlessly with the specialty malts. This Red IPA finishes crisp and clean, leaving a lingering impression of citrus zest and evergreen forests on the palate.
Appearance. Deep ruby to mahogany color (17–24 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a persistent, light tan, creamy head that leaves decorative lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring resinous pine and pithy grapefruit zest. The malt character is prominent, offering toasted biscuit and sweet toffee notes. Clean fermentation profile with negligible esters.
Taste. Immediate hop-forward flavors of grapefruit and forest pine. The mid-palate is supported by toasted malt flavors of biscuit and light caramel-toffee. High bitterness is firm and clean, leading into a dry, crisp finish with a lingering resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no perceived astringency.
