Appearance. Opaque, dark brown to jet black (SRM 38-40); features a large, persistent, and creamy beige to light tan head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity roast-forward aroma characterized by bittersweet chocolate and freshly roasted coffee. Subtle resinous hop notes and moderate fruity esters are present, accompanied by a light, clean alcohol presence.
Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet with prominent flavors of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. This sweetness is quickly countered by a medium-high hop bitterness and roasted grain character. The finish is notably dry and lingering, with a clean, slightly bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate-high. Provides a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without being hot or fusel.
