This organic Munich Helles presents a rustic, unfiltered character, pouring a soft gold with a characteristic haze from suspended yeast. The sensory experience is anchored by rich Continental Pilsner malt, offering a moderate grainy-sweetness that dominates the initial impression. Subtle yet distinct traditional German hops provide a delicate floral and spicy counterpoint, appearing more pronounced here than in filtered examples. The palate is rounded and smooth, transitioning from a malty core to a refreshing, crisp finish. It expertly balances the soft malt depth of a classic lager with a vibrant, fresh hop presence and a clean fermentation profile.
Appearance. Pale gold (3-5 SRM) with a distinct, hazy clarity due to being unfiltered. Supports a persistent, creamy white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet malt notes. Low to moderately-low spicy and herbal hop aroma. Very clean fermentation profile without esters or diacetyl, emphasizing fresh, doughy malt and a hint of yeast-derived sulfur that dissipates quickly.
Taste. Initial impression is moderately malty with a suggestion of sweetness. Grainy-sweet malt flavor builds on a soft, rounded palate.
