Brussels Beer Project’s Tripel Bertha reimagines the classic Witbier as a White Tripel, elevating the sensory experience with increased potency and depth. A striking hazy, milky-yellow appearance leads to a complex bouquet where zesty orange peel and peppery coriander harmonize with soft, bready wheat and subtle vanilla notes. On the palate, the higher alcohol content lends a gentle warmth that supports a medium-bodied profile, contrasting the refreshing effervescence typical of the style. The interplay of herbal spices and lemony esters from the Belgian yeast culminates in a crisp, dry finish, offering a sophisticated and modern Belgian take on traditional wheat ales.

Appearance. Pale straw to deep yellow in color; very cloudy with a characteristic milky, whitish-yellow shine from yeast and starch haze. Thick, dense, moussy white head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. Moderate bready maltiness with light honey and vanilla undertones. Pronounced grainy, spicy wheat aromatics are integrated with perfumy, lemony coriander and zesty, citrusy-orange fruitiness. Low spicy-herbal notes and floral esters are present.

Taste. Initial pleasant bready and grainy malt flavors followed by a moderate zesty orange-citrus character. Subtle herbal-spicy notes, particularly lemony coriander, are well-balanced without being overpowering. Hop bitterness is medium-low, supporting a refreshingly crisp and dry finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess from the unmalted wheat. High carbonation creates an effervescent character. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, yet it remains refreshing and lacks any astringency.
