This Double IPA showcases a modern, hazy profile driven by a bold New Zealand hop bill featuring Riwaka Amplifire and Rakau, alongside experimental Clayton varieties CIP 014 and CIP 076. The Pomona yeast strain amplifies the sensory experience, contributing intense stone fruit and tropical esters that blend seamlessly with vibrant citrus notes. A heavy grist of oats and wheat creates a dense haze and a signature creamy texture. While the bitterness remains firm and assertive, the focus is on the lush peach and melon character, supported by a soft, grainy malt backbone that ensures high drinkability despite its significant strength.

Appearance. Opaque and hazy, ranging from pale gold to a soft orange-copper color. It supports a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by ripe peach, stone fruit, and tropical notes. Significant citrus zest and light resinous pine are present. A supportive, soft, grainy malt scent sits in the background, complemented by moderate fruity esters from the Pomona yeast.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and peach flavor. The hop character is complex, featuring citrus and passion fruit from the Riwaka and Rakau additions. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth, avoiding harshness. Low, clean malt presence with a hint of breadiness. Finish is medium-dry and lingering with a hoppy, resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture provided by the oats and wheat. Carbonation is moderate. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated without being solventy.
