This West Coast India Pale Ale delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a modern hop quartet. The use of Strata Goo and Mosaic Cryo provides a concentrated burst of passion fruit, resinous pine, and ripe berries. Nelson Sauvin contributes its signature white wine grape and gooseberry notes, while HBC 586 adds layers of mango and lychee. A lean malt base ensures the focus remains on the complex, tropical aromatics and assertive bitterness. Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, off-white, persistent head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma displaying notes of tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit), resinous pine, and white wine grapes. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral background for the complex hop-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply hop-forward with flavors of citrus peel, lychee, and gooseberry. A firm, medium-high bitterness is well-supported by a lean, bready malt backbone. Fermentation is clean, leading to a very dry, crisp finish with a lingering tropical and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
