Infinity is a massive expression of an American Porter, presenting a profound sensory experience defined by its staggering 30 Plato gravity. This Imperial-strength beer offers an intense aromatic profile of dark chocolate, espresso, and burnt sugar, complemented by moderate resiny and earthy hop notes. On the palate, the richness of the 12% ABV is immediately apparent, delivering layers of bittersweet cocoa and heavily roasted malts. Despite its significant density and viscous body, a firm hop bitterness ensures a balanced, albeit lingering, finish. The six months of bottle conditioning have integrated the complex esters and alcohol warmth into a seamless, decadent character.
Appearance. Approaching opaque black in the glass, though showing deep ruby and garnet highlights when held to light. It is topped by a dense, persistent tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with a dominant character of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Background notes of caramel and toffee sweetness provide a foundation for moderate fruity esters reminiscent of dried dark fruits.
