Browar Birbant’s Upload is a vibrant West Coast-style American IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile. Initial aromas of dank passion fruit and berry from the Strata hops merge seamlessly with the tropical mango and blueberry notes characteristic of Mosaic. Bright citrus peels from Citra provide a zesty top note throughout the experience. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt base supports a firm, resinous bitterness that leads to a refreshing, bone-dry finish. This beer is crystal clear with a pale gold hue, delivering a crisp mouthfeel and high carbonation that accentuates its intense, fruity hop character without any cloying sweetness.
Appearance. Medium gold (approx 7 SRM) with a persistent, fluffy white head leaving delicate lacing. The clarity is brilliant, characteristic of a classic West Coast interpretation.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical passion fruit, strawberry, and blueberry notes. Underlying layers of zesty grapefruit and lemon peel are complemented by a faint resinous dankness. Malt presence is low and clean, offering a neutral grainy-sweet backdrop with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. A burst of tropical fruit and citrus pith hits the palate first, followed by a punchy, resinous bitterness. The flavors of passion fruit and grapefruit are supported by a minimal, clean, and grainy malt profile. It finishes decidedly dry and crisp, with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and no significant yeast esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present in the finish, without any harshness or astringency.
