This Imperial Stout is a decadent sensory experience, dominated by the rich, earthy additions of KYOTO Coffee Roasters Peru Organic Wascht and raw cocoa nibs. At 11.5% ABV, it presents a formidable presence of bittersweet chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. The 30° Plato gravity ensures a thick, velvety foundation where deep notes of black currant and toasted caramel emerge. The roast character is assertive but harmonious, leading to a long, warming finish that balances intense cocoa bitterness with a residual malt sweetness. It is a bold, indulgent expression of the style, prioritizing depth and a luscious, dessert-like complexity.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM). Pours with a dense, deep tan head of moderate retention that leaves thick legs on the glass, indicating high viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of freshly ground coffee, dark cocoa, and bittersweet chocolate. Moderate esters of prune and raisin complement a background of toasted caramel and a clean, smooth alcohol warmth. Low hop presence.

Taste. Intense flavors of dark roasted grain, espresso, and unsweetened chocolate. The malt profile is rich with notes of burnt crust and molasses, supported by an aggressively high bitterness from both hops and roasted additions. Finish is bittersweet and lingering with a refined, vinous warmth and dark fruit character. No harshness despite the high roast levels.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. Noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, avoiding any solventy sharpness.
