American IPA 7 º
Fun Day is a vibrant American IPA that exemplifies the West Coast style’s celebrated dryness and hop intensity. An assertive aroma led by Amarillo and Mosaic Cryo delivers a saturated bouquet of ripe orange, blueberry, and resinous pine, while the addition of Super Sauvin introduces sophisticated notes of white grape and crushed gooseberry. On the palate, a lean, cracker-like malt backbone provides a clean canvas for these punchy hop flavors to shine. It finishes crisp and decidedly bitter, with a lingering citrus zest and tropical fruit character. At 7% ABV, this beer offers a firm structure and refreshing clarity, balanced by a smooth, medium-light body.
Appearance. Deep golden to pale amber (7–9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of sweet orange and grapefruit from the Amarillo, backed by complex tropical berry and dank pine from Mosaic Cryo. Unique white wine and gooseberry accents from Super Sauvin add a modern layer. Low grainy malt sweetness and a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and tropical fruit. Medium-low grainy malt provides a clean, neutral base for high hop bitterness. Flavors of tangerine, passionfruit, and resinous spruce dominate. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean bitterness and a touch of hop zest in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
