Browar Amber’s American IPA offers a vibrant sensory journey true to the style that ignited the Polish craft revolution. Poured from the heart of Pomerania, it presents a bold hop profile defined by sharp citrus zest and resinous pine, characteristic of classic American cultivars. A lean, supportive malt backbone provides subtle notes of toasted grain and light caramel, ensuring the aggressive bitterness remains balanced rather than abrasive. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing the bright hop bouquet to dominate from the initial aromatic burst through to the lingering, crisp, and decidedly dry finish that characterizes this legendary style.
Appearance. Pours a clear, deep gold to light reddish-amber (SRM 8-12) with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows good persistence and leaves consistent lacing on the glass.
Aroma. A prominent hop aroma leads with notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, and resinous pine. A low, clean, grainy malt sweetness supports the hops, while the fermentation profile remains neutral with only a hint of citrusy esters.
Taste. The flavor is dominated by medium-high hop character featuring citrus and floral notes. A low, grainy maltiness with light toasted edges provides the foundation for a firm, assertive bitterness. The balance is decidedly hop-forward, leading to a crisp, dry finish and a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and no harshness. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel that accentuates the bitterness. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present.
