This West Coast style American IPA from Brouwerij West offers a vibrant sensory journey led by a ferocious hop profile. The trio of Citra, Mosaic, and Centennial hops provides an aromatic punch of zesty grapefruit, resinous pine, and tropical passionfruit, underscored by a distinctive dank character. Designed for approachability, it avoids overwhelming bitterness while maintaining a clean, hop-forward presence. The malt serves as a subtle, grainy backdrop, allowing the complex fruit and evergreen notes to leap across the palate. It finishes crisp and dry, embodying the quintessential California spirit with a balanced, modern intensity that invites another sip.

Appearance. Pours a clear, deep gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Topped by a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh grapefruit, passionfruit, and resinous pine. A distinct dank, herbal quality is present, supported by a low, clean, grainy malt sweetness and a neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Leading with a medium-high hop flavor of citrus zest and tropical fruit. The clean, grainy maltiness is low, providing a neutral stage for Citra-derived grapefruit and Mosaic passionfruit. Bitterness is firm but smooth, balanced by a dry finish and a lingering, piney aftertaste from the Centennial hops.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively prickle. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any harshness or astringency.
