This potent Belgian Tripel, famously brewed for the De Garre pub, presents a richer and more muscular profile than traditional examples due to its elevated 11% ABV. The sensory journey begins with a complex bouquet of spicy clove-like phenols and fruity esters reminiscent of orange peel and ripe pear. Despite the intensive malt bill used to achieve its strength, the beer maintains the style's signature drinkability. Soft, honey-like Pilsner malt notes provide a rounded foundation for firm bitterness and a subtle, well-integrated alcoholic warmth. It concludes with a remarkably dry, effervescent finish that leaves a lingering trail of peppery yeast and floral hops.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (6-7 SRM); brilliant clarity; massive, dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with exceptional Belgian lacing.
