This potent Super Saison delivers a tropical explosion led by intense, fresh mango that defines its character. Despite the robust 10% ABV, it retains the rustic charm of a Belgian farmhouse ale, masterfully balancing luscious stone fruit with the characteristic citrus esters and cracked black pepper phenols derived from the Saison yeast. The high gravity provides a richer malt foundation than standard versions, yet it adheres to the style's signature high attenuation for a remarkably easy-drinking profile. It culminates in a very dry, effervescent finish where the lingering warmth of the alcohol meets a crisp, spicy bitterness and tropical fruit brightness.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (SRM 7-10) with a slight haze from the intense mango addition and being unfiltered. It supports a long-lasting, dense, rocky ivory head that leaves persistent Belgian lace as it recedes.
Aroma. High aromatic intensity featuring dominant fresh mango. This is layered over moderate fruity esters of lemon and orange, supported by moderately-strong spicy phenols reminiscent of cracked black pepper. The malt provides a light, grainy background, while a clean, noticeable alcohol warmth is present. Hop character is low and earthy.
Taste. A bold initial impression of juicy mango followed by complex yeast-driven flavors of citrus peel and spicy pepper. The malt is medium in strength with a soft, grainy palate that supports the high alcohol content. It features moderate bitterness that feels firmer due to very high attenuation, finishing bone-dry with a lingering spicy and tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body, providing more weight than a standard version, yet kept lively by very high, effervescent carbonation. A clear, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. The texture is smooth and creamy without any harsh astringency.
