Brouwerij Poesiat & Kater

This Passion Fruit Gose presents a vibrant, sensory interplay between tropical sweetness and refreshing salinity. Inspired by a musical collaboration, the profile is defined by an intense infusion of kilos of passion fruit, which provides a bright, exotic acidity that complements the beer’s natural lactic tartness. A base of Pilsner and wheat malt offers a soft, doughy foundation, while a restrained touch of sea salt creates a mouthwatering, savory counterpoint to the fruit’s lushness. Effervescent and crisp, it finishes dry with a lingering tang, embodying a modern, fruit-forward interpretation of the historical Gose style.

Appearance. Pours a pale straw to light gold (3–4 SRM), likely tinted by tropical fruit additions. Features a moderate to tall, bright white head with good retention and tight bubbling. Unfiltered and notably hazy, bordering on opaque, with high effervescence.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by fresh, tropical passion fruit. Beneath the fruit, moderate doughy and bready malt notes emerge. Low to moderate lactic sourness provides a sharp edge. A subtle, bright citrusy hint of coriander and a trace of mineral sea salt are present, with no detectable hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is a punch of tart passion fruit followed by a noticeable, clean lactic sourness. Moderate bready malt flavor provides a brief mid-palate balance. A light but distinct salt character appears early, enhancing the fruit and providing a savory, tingly finish. Bitterness is very low, with the acidity driving the balance.
