Brouwerij LOST

This New England Double IPA delivers a vibrant sensory experience centered on an enormous tropical fruit explosion. Utilizing LUPOMAX Citra, Azacca, and El Dorado hops alongside T90 additions, the profile is defined by intense notes of passion fruit, guava, and ripe mango. The use of IRC7 gene-producing yeast specifically targets the release of bound thiols, heightening the aromatic impact of grapefruit and pineapple. While it maintains the strength of a Double IPA, the finish remains smooth and saturated with fruit character. Subtle notes of candied peach and citrus zest linger against a clean, unobtrusive malt backdrop, offering a modern, thiol-forward interpretation of the style.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (SRM 7-9). Opaque and very hazy with a dense, persistent white head that provides significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruits like passion fruit and guava due to thiol release. Supporting notes of grapefruit from Citra, mango from Azacca, and stone fruit from El Dorado are prominent. Neutral, doughy malt sits in the background with light fruity esters from the yeast.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of pineapple, melon, and tangerine. Bitterness is firm but smooth and well-integrated. A low, supportive malt character provides a soft, bready foundation. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, fruit-forward aftertaste and a clean, light alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth without solvent-like harshness. No hop-derived astringency.
