The aroma is dominated by rich waves of molasses and dark chocolate, accented by a distinct toasted pecan nuttiness and a hint of caramelized sugar. On the palate, the sheer viscosity of the liquid carries layers of cocoa, charred grain, and brown sugar, effectively mimicking a gooey pecan pie filling. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). It produces a dense, deep tan head with moderate retention that leaves thick legs on the glass, indicating high viscosity.
