This single-hop American IPA showcases the complex potential of the experimental HBC 630 hop variety, delivering a vibrant sensory profile that balances tradition with modern fruit-forward intensity. The aroma is dominated by a rich pallet of tropical fruit and bright citrus, intriguingly layered with distinctive red fruit notes of raspberry and cherry. A sturdy 7% ABV provides the necessary backbone for the firm bitterness and piney resin typical of the style. The malt character remains supportive and clean, allowing the unique stone fruit and forest-like nuances of the HBC 630 hops to remain the focal point through a crisp, dry finish.
Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber (6–10 SRM); clear to slightly hazy; medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent citrus, pine, and tropical fruit; unique experimental hop character adds layers of raspberry and cherry; low, clean, grainy maltiness; neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and pine; mid-palate reveals complex tropical fruit and red berry flavors; medium-high bitterness; low, clean, grainy-sweet malt; finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture; medium-high carbonation; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no hop-derived astringency or harshness.

Haas and Yakima Chief Ranches, two major American hop growers. HBC aims to develop new hop varieties.Before a new hop variety is officially released on the market, selected brewers can already try these hops. The temporary name for such a hop begins with the abbreviation HBC, followed by a number. When this hop officially comes out, it will get its final name. We are very enamored with this hop, so we expect to see this hop on the market in the future, but with an appropriate name.Like its predecessors, this beer comes in a nice big 44 cl can.
