Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, deep tan to dark brown head with moderate retention. High viscosity and alcohol content leave visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of roasted grain, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee. Moderate esters evoke dark fruits like prunes and raisins. Light notes of black licorice and a smooth, vinous alcohol presence are evident.
