This Eisbock is an incredibly concentrated expression of a freeze-distilled imperial stout, resulting in a monumental sensory experience. The aroma is dominated by intense, dark-fruit esters of plum and raisin, layered over deep-seated notes of dark chocolate and toasted malt. At a staggering 25% ABV, the alcohol presence is profound yet remains remarkably smooth, providing a velvety, liqueur-like warmth. On the palate, rich malt sweetness is balanced by concentrated Maillard products and a hint of roasted grain, finishing with a lingering, warming dryness. Its viscous texture and mahogany depth exemplify the power of the ice-distillation process, delivering a clean yet immensely complex profile.

Appearance. SRM 35+; opaque deep brown to black with rich mahogany highlights. Head is minimal to non-existent due to extreme alcohol concentration, leaving deep ivory lacing and pronounced legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by concentrated malt, offering scents of dark chocolate, toasted bread, and caramel. Significant but smooth alcohol presence reminiscent of a fine brandy. Pronounced dark fruit esters of black cherry, plum, and raisin. No hop aroma; clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is of massive, sweet malt complexity featuring cocoa, dark caramel, and dried fruits. The mid-palate reveals a significant, smooth alcohol warmth that balances the sweetness. Hop bitterness is moderate, providing just enough structure to prevent a cloying finish. No hop flavor. Ends with a rich, lingering malt and warming alcohol dry-out.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and viscous, nearly syrupy. Carbonation is low. Alcohol warmth is very high but well-integrated, avoiding harsh fusel notes. The texture is exceptionally smooth and silky without astringency.
