This monumental English Barley Wine blend, enhanced through the Eisbock process, presents an opulent sensory experience defined by its staggering 17.2% ABV and twenty-two months of maturation in Woodford Reserve and Jack Daniels barrels. The aroma is a profound tapestry of rich toffee, charred oak, and intense vanilla, complemented by concentrated notes of raisins and dates. On the palate, a luxurious malty sweetness delivers layers of caramel and dark fruit, seamlessly integrated with the spiritous warmth of bourbon and toasted coconut. Its viscous, chewy texture provides a lingering, velvety finish that highlights the masterful depth of this barrel-aged powerhouse.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with brilliant ruby highlights. Minimal off-white head with very low retention; the high viscosity is evident through thick, slow-moving legs on the glass.

Aroma. Intense and multi-layered. Dominant notes of vanilla, toasted coconut, and charred oak from the bourbon barrel aging. Underlying rich malt character of toffee, caramel, and treacle. Pronounced dried fruit esters including raisins, figs, and prunes. Soft, well-integrated alcohol warmth with a slight vinous, sherry-like oxidation.

Taste. Immediate, massive malty sweetness featuring complex layers of caramel, biscuit, and dark fruit. The barrel influence contributes distinct flavors of bourbon, marshmallow, and spicy oak. Medium-low bitterness provides just enough balance against the thick malt. The finish is exceptionally long and warming, evolving from sweet dark fruit into a lingering, spirit-forward aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, viscous, and exceptionally chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present throughout, providing a comforting, spirit-like glow without harshness.

Na het eisbocken hebben de brouwers de barley blend 22 maanden laten rijpen op Woodford Reserve en Jack Daniels bourbon vaten.
