Hace más de diez años, un grupo de amigos comenzó un club de degustación de cerveza. Cada dos semanas se reunían en una de sus casas para beber buena cerveza belga y para discutir de cerveza, mujeres y fútbol.
Durante los años el interés en la cerveza creció. Esto dio lugar a que seguir cursos de elaboración de cerveza en 2007.
Desde ese año, comenzaron a " Hobbybrouwerij Het Nest (Home Brewery la Cuna)". Su primer éxito fue un tercer lugar en el Campeonato Abierto de Holanda para los cerveceros caseros en la categoría de "triple".
