This formidable Russian Imperial Stout presents a deep, layered profile shaped by an ambitious grain bill of eight distinct malts and maturation in Rutte jenever barrels. The nose is an intense bouquet of espresso, dark chocolate, and charred grain, accented by the unique botanical and grainy spirit notes of the jenever wood. On the palate, bold American hops provide a firm resinous counterpoint to rich flavors of blackcurrant, dried figs, and bittersweet cocoa. At a potent 12.5% ABV, it delivers a velvety, full-bodied experience with a lingering warmth and a complex, spice-tinged finish that showcases its barrel-aged pedigree.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque; pours with a dense, dark tan head and exhibits significant viscosity with visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, and black licorice. Distinct herbal and spicy notes from the jenever barrels meld with dark fruit esters of plum and raisin, backed by a low resinous hop character and noticeable alcohol.
