This refreshing Witbier reimagines a Belgian classic with a tropical twist. The sensory profile is led by a vibrant pineapple infusion, providing a bright, juicy sweetness that complements the traditional zesty orange and spicy coriander notes of the base style. The addition of Sabro hops introduces distinct layers of creamy coconut and stone fruit, which meld seamlessly with the bready, grainy character of unmalted wheat and oats. It pours with a signature milky-white haze and a dense, moussy head. The finish is crisp and effervescent, balancing the tropical fruit richness with a dry, lightly spiced tail that makes it exceptionally drinkable.
Appearance. Very pale straw to light yellow (2-3 SRM). Highly cloudy with a milky, whitish-yellow shine from starch haze. Features a dense, white, moussy head with very good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent aromatics of ripe, juicy pineapple and creamy coconut from the Sabro hops. These tropical layers sit atop a grainy, bready wheat malt base with light notes of honey. Background hints of perfumy-lemony coriander and zesty orange citrus are present, blending with moderate fruity esters.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical pineapple and coconut, followed by a pleasant bready, grainy malt flavor. The Sabro hops provide a distinct stone fruit and creamy character that supports the fruit addition. Low hop bitterness (around 15 IBU) allows the fruit and light citrus-orange zest to shine. Subtle herbal-spicy coriander notes emerge in the mid-palate. Finishes refreshingly crisp and dry with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a characteristic smoothness and light creaminess from the use of wheat. High carbonation provides an effervescent, prickly sensation. Refreshing and light, with no perceived alcohol warmth or astringency.
