This Imperial Stout presents an indulgent sensory journey inspired by classic tiramisu. Deep aromas of freshly pulled espresso and dark cocoa dominate the nose, softened by notes of vanilla bean and a suggestion of sweet mascarpone cream. On the palate, the 11% ABV provides a velvety warmth that carries flavors of toasted ladyfingers, rich chocolate malt, and a robust roasted bitterness. The mouthfeel is exceptionally full and viscous, coating the tongue with a decadent, creamy texture. The finish is long and bittersweet, balancing the intense pastry sweetness with a sophisticated charred grain character and a smooth, integrated alcohol presence.
Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40+). A thick, creamy, deep tan head forms but recedes to a persistent collar, leaving noticeable viscous legs on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity aroma of roasted coffee beans and Dutch-process cocoa. Secondary notes of sweet vanilla, caramel, and a light cake-like maltiness. Clean alcohol presence adds a subtle spicy lift.
Taste. Bold espresso and bittersweet chocolate flavors lead, followed by a mid-palate of creamy vanilla and toasted bread. Firm roasted bitterness provides essential balance against the high residual sweetness. The finish is lingering and decadent, reminiscent of a coffee-soaked dessert with a clean, warming aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full, chewy, and luscious body with a velvety, coating texture. Carbonation is moderate-low, enhancing the creamy mouthfeel. A smooth, gentle warmth is present from the high alcohol content, without any harshness.
