This Barrel-Aged American Stout presents a decadent sensory journey, defined by its maturation in Single Malt Highland Whisky casks. The profile is anchored by a deep, roasted coconut presence that weaves through layers of bittersweet chocolate and rich caramel. Despite the high intensity of the Highland Whisky influence, which introduces a sophisticated whisper of peat smoke, the beer maintains a core of dark specialty malts. The significant 12.2% ABV provides a substantial, smooth alcohol warmth that elevates the luscious sweetness. It is a harmonious marriage of tropical nuttiness, charred oak, and robust roasted grains, finishing with a lingering, warming complexity.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+); features a thick, persistent light-brown head with excellent retention and significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of toasted coconut and dark chocolate are layered over moderate roasted coffee notes. The Highland Whisky barrel maturation contributes distinct vanilla, oak, and a subtle, earthy peat smoke. Very low resiny hop aroma with moderate alcohol esters.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet, following with intense flavors of bittersweet chocolate, caramel, and heavy toasted coconut. The roasted malt profile provides a coffee-like backbone. Moderate hop bitterness is well-balanced by the high residual sweetness. The finish is long and warming, featuring a light note of peaty whisky and charred oak.

Mouthfeel. Full and viscous body with a creamy, luxurious texture. Carbonation is moderate. A pronounced, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being sharp or fusel. No significant roast-derived astringency.
