This barrel-aged English Porter offers a decadent sensory experience, defined by its massive 10.2% ABV and sophisticated treatment in whisky casks. The nose is immediately greeted by rich cocoa, sweet vanilla, and a concentrated dark red fruit character. On the palate, a gentle smoke from the Peated malt intertwines with the warmth of the whisky barrel, evolving into a complex layer of honey and roasted malt. The finish is remarkably reminiscent of a cherry bonbon, where the lingering red fruit and dark chocolate flavors provide a luxurious aftertaste. It is a bold, velvety expression of the style, balancing earthy smoke with deep confectionery sweetness.

Appearance. Dark brown to nearly opaque with deep ruby highlights. Features a moderate, persistent light tan head with fair retention and slight lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromas of cocoa, vanilla, and dark red fruit. A mild, earthy peat smoke is present, alongside bready and toasty malt notes and a subtle whisky-derived oak character.

Taste. Initial flavors of chocolate and honey sweetness followed by a prominent whisky barrel presence. Mild peat provides an earthy complexity that balances the dark red fruit esters. The finish is long and sweet, evoking a cherry bonbon with lingering notes of cocoa and dark fruit. Low bitterness keeps the balance firmly on the malty and barrel-influenced side.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A significant and noticeable alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its high strength, yet it remains smooth.
