This festival-strength Weissbier, brewed for Borefts 2023, presents an intensified sensory profile that elevates the traditional Bavarian character to a robust 7% ABV. A luminous, hazy gold pour supports a magnificent, mousse-like white head. The aroma is high-intensity, dominated by the classic duo of ripe banana and spicy clove, supported by a rich foundation of bready wheat and grainy-sweet Pilsner malt. On the palate, the fluffy mouthfeel carries flavors of doughy bread and soft malt, balanced by a crisp, spritzy finish. Despite its strength, it remains remarkably drinkable, harmonizing elevated alcohol warmth with an effervescent, creamy texture.
Appearance. Deep gold with a brilliant shine; hazy with significant yeast and wheat protein suspension. Features a very thick, moussy, and long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity featuring prominent banana esters and spicy clove phenols. A rich background of bready, doughy wheat malt and a hint of grainy-sweet Pilsner malt supports the yeast profile. Very light floral hop notes and a subtle, clean alcohol presence are detectable.
Taste. A balanced interplay of sweet-tending banana and sharp clove phenols leads the palate. Initial impressions of soft, bready wheat and grainy malt flavor are supported by very low bitterness. The finish is relatively dry and clean, with a lingering spicy aftertaste and a touch of bready sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a characteristic fluffy, creamy fullness. Carbonation is high and effervescent, providing a lively, spritzy mouthfeel that prevents the 7% ABV from feeling heavy. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.

Barbie & Can Weizen is een weizenbier met een twist: het bevat komkommer, rabarber en Hersbrucker-spät hop. Deze ingrediënten geven het bier een fris, fruitig en licht zuur karakter. Het aroma is verleidelijk, met tonen van banaan, kruidnagel, citrus en groene appel. De smaak is vol en romig, met een mooie balans tussen zoet en zuur. Je proeft de komkommer en de rabarber, maar ook de moutigheid en de kruidigheid van de hop. De afdronk is lang en verfrissend, met een lichte bitterheid. Het alcoholpercentage bedraagt 7%.
