This Saison, a collaboration between Brouwerij De Hemel and Nevel, presents a highly attenuated and refreshing profile. The soft, grainy malt base serves as a rustic canvas for expressive fermentation character. Prominent spicy notes, specifically amplified by the addition of angelica seeds, weave through peppery yeast phenols and light citrus esters. The beer finishes remarkably dry with a firm, integrated bitterness that lingers alongside an earthy, botanical spice. It is an effervescent and crisp experience, balancing traditional Belgian craftsmanship with a unique herbal complexity that sharpens the classic spicy-fruity yeast profile of a well-crafted farmhouse ale.

Appearance. Pours a hazy, pale golden-orange with a dense, rocky white head that exhibits excellent retention and thick lacing. High effervescence is visible.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a complex blend of black pepper phenols and the distinctively herbal, slightly woody scent of angelica seeds. Esters of lemon and pear are present, supported by a low, crackery malt character and earthy continental hops.

Taste. Begins with a brief flash of soft grain before rushing into a very dry, spicy palate. Flavors of white pepper and herbal spice from the angelica seeds dominate, balanced by moderate hop bitterness and subtle citrus fruitiness.
