This Hazy IPA is an olfactory explosion, defined by a massive dry-hop regimen that creates a signature 'juicy' profile. The aroma and flavor are dominated by a complex blend of tropical mango and blueberry from Mosaic and Simcoe, brightened by the punchy grapefruit and lime zest of Citra and Cascade. Chinook adds a subtle resinous depth, while the inclusion of Sorachi Ace introduces a unique, sophisticated hint of lemon peel and dill. With its characteristically soft, pillowy body and restrained bitterness, the beer emphasizes fruit saturation over sharpness, finishing smooth and off-dry with a clean, bready malt foundation.
Appearance. Pours a luminous light amber with an orange hue (approximately 5.5 SRM), exhibiting a dense, uniform haze that creates a characteristic shine. It is crowned by a medium-sized, rocky, white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a tropical medley of passion fruit, mango, and stone fruit. Strong citrus notes of grapefruit are layered with subtle pine and a faint, unique herbal lemon character. Malt is neutral and lightly bready in the background, with no caramel or toast present.
Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavors of ripe peach, citrus, and berries. The malt provides a low, grainy sweetness that supports the hop-forward profile without competing. Bitterness is low to medium-low, perceived as soft rather than sharp, leading to an off-dry, juicy finish. The aftertaste is clean, featuring lingering notes of tropical fruit and citrus zest.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, plush, and almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, and there is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. It is free of any astringency, harshness, or raw starch graininess.
