Coastal Vortex is a quintessential American IPA that leans into its West Coast roots with an aggressive double dry-hopped profile. The aroma is led by the vibrant citrus of Citra and the pungent, resinous pine of Simcoe, while Mosaic contributes layers of tropical mango and dark berry. Visually clear and brilliantly gold, the palate follows with an assertive bitterness and a lean, crackery malt structure. The finish is notably dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of grapefruit pith and evergreen resin. It is a refreshing, hop-forward experience that emphasizes punchy aromatics and a clean, bitter snap.

Appearance. Medium gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white, persistent head with significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, lime, and tropical fruit from Citra and Mosaic, alongside a dank, resinous pine character from Simcoe. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is sharply hop-forward with flavors of citrus pith, resin, and subtle berry. Low, neutral maltiness provides a light cracker-like base. Medium-high to high bitterness that is clean and assertive. The finish is dry and crisp with a long, resinous aftertaste.
