Brooklyn Scorcher IPA is a bright and sessionable American IPA designed for high drinkability at a modest 4.5% ABV. The sensory experience is led by a vibrant hop profile featuring Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade, and Bravo, which deliver a classic interplay of floral notes, citrus zest, and resinous pine. A lean base of 2-row malt provides a subtle toasty backbone that supports the assertive bitterness without adding weight. The palate is clean and lively, driven by Brooklyn Brewery’s house ale yeast, leading to a crisp and parching finish that invites another sip. It perfectly balances assertive hop character with a light, refreshing structure.
Appearance. Luminous gold with brilliant clarity; topped by a persistent, fine-textured white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent pine resin and floral bouquets, complemented by citrus zest and a hint of spice. Low, clean, grainy malt aroma with a faint toasty edge from the 2-row base and no diacetyl.
Taste. Assertive hop bitterness is immediate, showcasing flavors of grapefruit peel, floral notes, and pine needles. The 2-row malt offers a medium-low, clean, and slightly toasty support. Fermentation is clean with minimal esters and no harshness. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, pleasant hoppy bitterness.
