Brooklyn Lager reimagines the classic Vienna Lager with a distinctive American craft twist. It presents a brilliant amber-gold pour, leading with a surprisingly vibrant floral hop aroma—the result of British-inspired dry hopping. The palate is defined by a firm malt center, showcasing six varieties of malt that provide a rich, bready foundation with elegant toasty notes and a subtle caramel smoothness. Despite its malt complexity, the beer remains refreshing with a crisp, dry finish and a persistent, balanced bitterness. This marriage of old-world lager traditions and aromatic dry-hopping creates a robust, versatile profile that is both inviting and exceptionally well-structured.
Appearance. 9 to 15 SRM; amber-gold to copper color with brilliant clarity and a large, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a clean lager character. Rich, toasty, and bready malt notes are prominent, complemented by a distinctive floral and spicy hop aroma enhanced by the dry-hopping process.
Taste. Initial impression is of soft, elegant malt complexity with a bready-rich and toasty character. A light caramel sweetness is present but balanced by a firm hop bitterness. The hop flavor is floral and herbal. It concludes with a fairly dry, clean finish where both rich malt and crisp bitterness linger briefly.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, gentle creaminess. Moderate carbonation provides a refreshing bite without being prickly. Alcohol warmth is negligible.
