This double dry-hopped Hazy IPA pours with a glowing, opaque radiance, instantly releasing a vibrant bouquet of tropical fruit and bright citrus. The expressive use of Lotus hops imparts distinctive notes of candied orange, sweet berry, and a delicate whisper of vanilla, while the experimental EXP #09326 hop variety layers in deep mango and stone fruit complexity. A creamy, flaked-grain body supports these juicy hop flavors without cloying sweetness, delivering a pillowy softness on the palate. It finishes incredibly smooth, with a restrained, well-integrated bitterness that leaves a refreshing, fruit-forward trail.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (3-6 SRM) with a dense, persistent, meringue-like white head that leaves beautiful lacing. Highly hazy, almost opaque with a characteristic luminous shine, free of visible sediment or yeast clumps.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by tropical and citrus hop characteristics. Prominent notes of ripe mango, orange peel, and apricot are accompanied by subtle vanilla and mixed berry undertones from the Lotus dry-hop. Mild, sweet, bready and doughy malt presence acts as a background canvas. Clean fermentation profile with supportive fruity esters; no diacetyl or DMS.
Taste. Leads with a burst of juicy tropical fruit, citrus pulp, and soft stone fruit flavors. The malt back-bone is low to moderate, offering a bready, doughy graininess. Bittering is low-to-medium but soft and fully integrated, never harsh or astringent. Fermentation is clean with complementary fruit esters. Balanced towards the massive hop-forward character, culminating in a smooth, off-dry finish with a lingering tropical and citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, soft, and pillowy body. Moderate carbonation. Strikingly smooth, with a subtle creaminess from the flaked grains. No harshness, hop burn, or astringency, with a very gentle, clean finish at 5.7% ABV.
