This complex Wheatwine delivers a multi-layered sensory experience, merging a bready, wheaty malt base with the spicy, earthy grit of Peated Rye. Bourbon barrel aging imparts deep notes of vanilla and toasted oak, which entwine with the unusual presence of earthy tobacco and the bright, floral zest of Curacao orange peel. A subtle inclusion of smoked salt enhances the beer's depth, adding a faint savory-saline quality that cuts through the rich, malty sweetness. Viscous and warming, it offers a sophisticated profile where smoky, citrusy, and barrel-driven elements harmonize against a backdrop of dense, honeyed grain and powerful spirit character.

Appearance. Deep amber to garnet with ruby highlights; brilliant clarity. Low, creamy, off-white head with poor retention due to high alcohol; prominent legs and high viscosity are visible on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich, bready wheat and spicy rye malt character dominated by bourbon-soaked oak, vanilla, and caramel. Distinct earthy tobacco leaf and a faint phenolic peat smoke are present. Low citrus notes from Curacao orange peel complement darker fruit esters like fig and raisin.

Taste. Initial impression of rich, honeyed wheat and spicy rye bread. Complex layers of toasted oak and bourbon sweetness follow, balanced by a subtle savory lick of smoked salt. Earthy tobacco flavors provide a tannic counterpoint to the malty sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as mild due to the high residual sugar.
