Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM). A thick, dark brown head shows moderate retention, leaving dense lacing. High viscosity is apparent in the glass through prominent legs.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. Rich bittersweet chocolate and espresso roast lead, followed by Belgian yeast esters of plum and fig.
