This Pacific West Coast IPA showcases a vibrant, modern hop profile anchored by Southern Hemisphere varieties. Intense aromas of passion fruit and crushed gooseberry from Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka lead the experience, supported by the stone fruit and peach notes of Nectaron. Galaxy adds a layer of citrus and tropical depth, while Pacific Gem provides a subtle spicy, berry-like nuance. The clean, neutral malt base allows these bold hops to dominate, finishing with a sharp, assertive bitterness typical of the style. It is a crisp, dry, and highly aromatic American IPA that highlights the unique terroir of Pacific hops.
Appearance. Medium gold to deep gold (7 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, white, persistent head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical fruits (passion fruit, mango), stone fruits (peach), and white wine grapes. Distinctive notes of crushed lime, grapefruit, and a light resinous pine. Low, clean, bready maltiness in the background. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Hop-forward and assertive. Flavors of guava, passion fruit, and citrus zest mirror the aroma. High bitterness that is firm but clean. Malt is supportive and neutral, offering a light cracker or grainy sweetness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and tropical hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth reflecting the 7.7% ABV. No harshness or significant astringency.
